You asked for a tutorial on how I do my work....

Basically, I do the same thing in the tutorial you have in your "recent favorites" right now....

The only thing more/different that I do is add about 3-4 light sources scattered within the large surrounding sphere.... Within the light source options, you can add a picture as a "gel" mapped to the light source itself - basically making the light source like a projector.... I use my own fractals as picture maps for this....

You have to play with each of the seperate light source's bightnesses to dial it in and get the colors you want to see....

Tip: Experiment, experiment, experiment....

Also, keep moving the camera around until you get to an area that you find interesting in shapes and colors.... And if you find an interesting area, SAVE IT....! Sometimes you can move the view angle just a tad, and the WHOLE picture changes, and you will have a hard time finding that spot again....!
